For day two of my countdown I present for your enjoyment the original 1983 pilot of the television program Tales From The Darkside, entitled "Trick or Treat".
If it's after 8:10 pm EST, I'm at the Silver Moon Drive In Theatre watching Zombieland and eating nachos!

I LOVE this Tales From The Darkside! This witch looks and sounds about the closest that I would envision a Halloween witch to be like!
I believe the witch at the end is Ed French, who did monster makeup on this one.
Mr. Macabre I couldn't agree with you more, totally what I think a Halloween witch should look like.
Peter, Ed French actually plays the devil that says "You're getting warmer, warmer, hot!". The witch is played by the now deceased Frances Chaney (No relation, even though Lon's wife's name was Frances).
Captain, thanks for clearing up my memory. When I was a teenager I got to work as a PA on the movie C.H.U.D., which had Ed French and John Caglione doing makeup effects on it, years before they both (separately) won Oscars.
Thats awesome Peter! That must have been a cool experience to work on a movie that has now grown to such a cult status.
I don't think anyone I know has heard of it. I had to explain it to my nephew recently. But I was just mentioning that because it was some time back in the 80s that he told me he played something in the pilot, and I remembered it as him playing the witch. I was trying to briefly explain why I remembered it wrong-- I was remembering hearsay from 8 million years ago, haha.
