I think it should stay on the 31st. Around here if Halloween is on a weekday, trick or treat is on the Saturday before.

Wow, you know that's hard to choose in a way but I would have to say that I would leave it the same on October 31. I'm a diehard traditionalist.

I agree, for the trick or treaters, a weekend would be prefered....but I could not bear to see the holiday "float" - Halloween is October 31st! :)

By decree of the froq queen of course! :D

Cheers!

31 forever!
I don't shop at Spirit anyway because they are way over priced (plus they don't have anything I want), but I definitely won't be visiting them now. Greedy, greedy, greedy!

WAIDAMINIT! Is this for real?! I thought that this was some sort of humorous prank deal but Spirit's really serious about getting it changed?! H E DOUBLEHOCKEYSTICKS NO!
I totally agree Captain, I usually never buy anything from Spirit because they're WAY overpriced and nothing that they have fits my theme.

"Whaa whaaa WHAAAAT???" Napes, out on that, the 31st IS Halloween, the date literally didnt exist before Halloween was created. Cant be changed or there will be riots in the streets.

31st!

I know that if Halloween would be a saturday every year would help parents be less in a rush and it would be safer for small children...

As a newbie haunter, I prefer when Halloween is on a weekday. Why? Simply because trick'r treater comes to knock at my door when it's dark and it is also when it's dark that my haunt look the coolest. And my best memories of Halloween as a child are all on weekdays. Trick'r treating in the daylight just not feel the same. The magic is just not there.

I'm a traditionnalist too and I just feel it would not be right to make Halloween a "floating" holiday on a calendar. If we have to change Halloween on a saturday, we should be doing that for Christmas too you know... And I don't like that idea either.
