We've Got Eggs In Our Lemon Tree

We're pretty sure they belong to the Northern Mockingbird that was watching us take the pictures. Here's a picture I found of a Northern Mockingbird, as my pictures of her didn't turn out very well.

Met the greatest earthquake ever known.
High on the rapids
It struck their tiny raft.
And plunged them down a thousand feet below.

To the Land of the Lost.
To the Land of the Lost.
To the Land of the Lost.

Heres the schedule.

Rat Problem Fixed

This solves my problem of how to make my Rat minion creepy enough!

Rough Sketches

I decided that instead of a bunch of the same minion I would make 13 different minions (It works with my back story for this year). This is a rough drawing of ideas for minions, 7 heads are already in progress. A few of them I'm not too sure about; Rat, Blank, and Weed. Rat I'm just not sure how to make him creepy enough. Weed will not look like the drawing, but will be plant based. Blank is too simple and will be replaced by something else. Gate Keeper is a crappy drawing and hopefully will end up looking like the Minions from the movie The Gate.

A sneak peek

This head is about the size of my fist. Think Imp, Goblin, but mainly think Blix from Legend but littler.

My Work Bench

I finally got around to building myself a work bench in the garage for all my projects.

I'm pretty pleased with it. I made it taller because I'm 6 foot 3 and bending over a regular table kills my back after a while. Sorry about the blurry photos, they're off my phone.

The Haunting in Connecticut

We just got home from seeing The Haunting in Connecticut. We really enjoyed it. I was nice to see a scary movie that actually made me jump, and it was nice to see a horror movie that wasn't a bloody mess trying to cover up a weak story. The only negative thing I could come up with was that I wanted more of the story, more details. If you enjoy a good ghost story you should check out The Haunting in Connecticut.

Minion

I loved these guys in the movie The Gate and Gate 2. The Minions are loosely the basis of some props I'll be working on next week while I'm on vacation.

Un-used Footage (2008)

Never made a video for 2008, most of the footage was lame. This is raw footage, you can even hear me breathing.

May the 4th be with you

The Zombie Chicken

WOW! I am very honored to be recognized by such a well respected (and super cool) Halloween peer as Mr. Macabre!

The Zombie Chicken

"The blogger who receives this award believes in the Tao of the Zombie Chicken, excellence, grace, and persistence in all situations, even in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. These amazing bloggers regularly produce content so remarkable that their readers would brave a raving pack of zombie chickens just to be able to read their inspiring words. As a recipient of this world-renowned award, you now have the task of passing it on to at least 5 other worthy bloggers. Do not risk the wrath of the zombie chickens by choosing unwisely or not choosing at all..."

If I must choose, I choose . . . . .

Apopka biz says Universal stole its plans for Halloween attractions

An Apopka entertainment-design company said Tuesday that it has sued Universal Orlando, its parent company and two movie studios, accusing them of stealing its concept for Halloween-themed attractions based on a trio of iconic horror movie characters.

In its 26-page complaint, ICC Design Inc. accuses Universal, NBC Universal, New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. of taking plans it had developed for theme-park attractions built around the characters Jason, Freddy Krueger and Leatherface and using them instead for the 2007 edition of "Halloween Horror Nights" at Universal's parks in Orlando and California.

ICC said it first approached New Line in February 2005 about plans to license the three characters for new theme-park attractions. It said it spent more than a year working on the concept with New Line and that the discussions ultimately broadened to include Universal executives, as well.

But it said those talks abruptly ended in November 2006 -- only a few months before New Line and Universal announced a deal to feature the three characters in Halloween Horror Nights.

"Through outright fraud, deception, misrepresentation and 'back-door' dealings, entertainment industry giants New Line Cinema, Universal Orlando and NBC misappropriated ICC's confidential and proprietary business proposal and used such to reap staggering profits," lawyers for ICC wrote in the 26-page lawsuit.

Universal dismissed the allegations.

"We consider this groundless, without merit, and we're going to vigorously defend our position," spokesman Tom Schroder said.
