Hatchet 2

I like how all the quotes from so called critics have no names attached to them. I'll be seeing this for sure, I liked the first one.

More New Loot!

We got this great ghost at Michael's.

We found these Halloween blocks for only $7.99 at Home Goods!

I found a new female pumpkin headed trick r' treater to go with my cat trick r' treater from last year. I can't remember if she was $12.99 or only $9.99, either way she was a steal at Home Goods.

Jen got a bunch of anti-bacterial hand gels and hand soaps from Bath and Body Works. The Jack-o-lantern is also a pumpkin scented hand soap. I really like the Spider's Web hand gel because it smells just like black licorice.

I need a second job, so I can buy more loot!

My little helper, Byrdie.

The Patch

Three different varieties of pumpkin . . . . .

26 plants . . . . .

And only one freaking pumpkin! But she's doing really well.

I sure hope we get at least 8 to a dozen decent size pumpkins. I saw a few female buds out there, but none ready to be flowers yet.
Soon . . . . . I hope

Brach's At Walgreens

My Elementary School Burned Down

WOW! I can't believe pretty much the bulk of my elementary school burned down. I went there from 2nd grade to 6th grade. I have so many fun memories from Trace Elementary, I'm just glad no one was hurt. People suck, who burns down an elementary school? All the old books in the library alone must have been worth a fortune. WOW!

Sorry about the political ad, I couldn't get rid of it.

Happy Friday The 13th

As a guy named Jason, this date was always a pain in the ass growing up. With all the "kill, kill, kill" and "Kill her, Mommy! Kill her!" BS that I would hear in the hallways of school. It doesn't really bother me anymore, I just laugh when people do it now.

And then I kill them in my mind . . . . .

The Vegans Love The Captain

So I'm totally a lazy douche. I got a couple blogger awards recently and have been dragging my feet about posting them for a few weeks. Don't get me wrong, it really, really means a lot to me when people acknowledge my blog. I love that there are other like-minded Halloween lovers, Monster kids, and Horror fans out there that I can share my random stuff with. There is just the whole rules part of reposting and the chain-letter factor of these awards that causes me to drag me feet. These awards spread like wildfire through the people you know on the blogs, and then "poof" just as quickly they disappear until the next one comes along. So I'm going to make up my own rules for these awards, rules that I am comfortable with.

OK. Now that all of that is out of the way, on to the fun stuff.

Two lovely, friendly, Vegan ladies have recently started visiting The Captain and both of them have bestowed upon me the Versatile Blogger Award! Thank you both, and thank you for all of your fun comments on my blog.
You guys do know I eat meat, right?

I'll do the "Share 7 things about yourself" part of the rules.

1. I talk shit to my wife by singing to our dogs.
2. I am full on addicted to Mt. Dew!
3. I was terrified of the commercials for the movie The Exorcist as a child. I would stick my thumbs in my ears and cover my eyes with my hands so I didn't have to see or hear it. It still freaks me out a little. I didn't watch it until it was re released in 2000 at the age of 31, and I love scary movies. I walked around the house with all the lights on for days after seeing it.
4. I secretly aspire to become a Horror Host, oops my secret is out.
5. I think about Halloween in some form or fashion at least once or twice an hour.
6. I have a celebrity crush on Jennifer Love Hewitt.
7. I have a huge phobia/fear of being completely forgotten/erased after I die. Like I need to leave a mark that lasts forever after I die, and not just a headstone. Maybe a book or Horror Hosting or both. I'm weird.

Thank you Creepy Vegan and Spooky Vegan for your readership and these awards, it truly does means a lot to me.

Ps there are a couple other awards that I have gotten recently as well, from two of my most favorite ladies on the blogs and I will be posting about them soon.

More Loot!

Stopped back by Old Time Pottery to see what else they'd put out since we were there and found a cool banner for the inside of our front door for only $4.

We bought this one as a gift for Jen's sister Sarah's new home. She's huge a cat lover, but I love her anyway (I'm just playing cat lovers).
I love cats too . . .

they're delicious . . .

Cracker Barrel Has Halloween Stuff

If you've been following me for a while you probably know I have this thing for holiday salt and pepper shakers, especially Halloween shakers. I bought these cauldron shakers for myself at the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store.

Jen bought herself this awesome Halloween shirt. She's too funny, last night she says "do you think it's to early to where this shirt out?" I said "Just a little early."

They had a bunch of Halloween stuff at the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. I didn't have my camera or phone because I wasn't even expecting to see Halloween goodness there, I just went to get some apple butter (which is super killer!). They have a lot of ladies Halloween shirts, witch hats, hair stuff, and jewelry. More cutesy type of decorations, but definitely worth a look.

Thrill me!

Night of the Creeps

Detective Cameron: I got good news and bad news, girls. The good news is your dates are here.
Sorority Sister: What's the bad news?
Detective Cameron: They're dead.

Old Time Pottery

Stopped by Old Time Pottery on Friday to find them starting to stock their shelfs with Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Fall decorations. So of course we spent a little moolah and procured the following goodies.

These are picture holders, they all have the little wire spirals on top. The skull guys is my favorite and will probably find a home on my study bookshelf all year long.

My wife bought these scarecrows because she thought they looked "Fall" enough to stay out from before Halloween through Thanksgiving, I'd have to agree with her.

These candle holders are pretty cool too, they have that rustic homemade look to them.

Jen loves her witches and she loves Halloween candy dishes.

Maybe . . .

The first signs of a potential pumpkin, I have around 24 plants and so far only one possible pumpkin.
