The New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum

Wendy the (Very) Good Witch reminded me without knowing she was reminding me that I had not finished posting photos from our trip to New Orleans. So thanks Wendy, and why yes we did go to the New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum.

The New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum is one of the most unique, and interesting, small museums in the country. Taking all the mysteries, the secrets, the history and folklore of rituals, zombies, of gris-gris, of Voodoo Queens and all that jazz, and putting it all in one place in the heart of the New Orleans French Quarter.

I'm positive that is a real human skull.

If I remember right I was pretty hammered the night before which explains why I look like a zombie. That is a painting of Marie Laveau, the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans.

I hope you enjoyed the photos. The New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum is small but full of interesting things see and learn about New Orleans Voodoo. The New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum is located at 724 Dumaine Street (Between Bourbon and Royal Streets in the Heart of the French Quarter) New Orleans, LA 70116.

The Zombie

Zombie
Ingredients

1/2 ounce white rum
1 1/2 ounces golden rum
1 ounce dark rum
1/2 ounce 151-proof rum
1 ounce lime juice
1 teaspoon pineapple juice
1 teaspoon papaya juice
1 teaspoon superfine sugar

Glass Type: Collins glass

Instructions

Stir together all these ingredients (the juice in the recipe is what mixologist David Embury calls the "mystery ingredient"; it can be pineapple juice, passion fruit nectar, coconut milk, apricot, or cherry brandy -- just about anything this side of Romilar) except the 151 and pour into a 14-ounce glass three-fourths full of cracked ice. Float the 151 as a lid (by pouring it into a spoon and gently dipping it under the surface of the drink). Then, if the spirit moves you, take a match to this mixture; it will burn. Garnish with mint (either straight or dipped in lime juice and then superfine sugar) and/or fruit. (A particularly fetching touch: On a toothpick, impale a lemon slice or pineapple cube between two maraschino cherries and lay this fruit kabob atop of the drink). Supply a straw and, after two, a hammock. After three: a stretcher.

Un-used Footage (2008)

Never made a video for 2008, most of the footage was lame. This is raw footage, you can even hear me breathing.

Trailer Park of Terror

"A New Genre Classic" my ass!
Kind of boring, Trace Adkins as the devil was one of the best parts and that's not saying much. 1 and a half out of 4, and I'm being nice.

Full Moon Stroll

I can't remember where I found this picture, but it's been on my hard drive for over a year. I like it, so here it is.
