It's a Major Award!

"Shucks, I wouldn't know'd that. It looks like a lamp" or err... maybe a weird refrigerator magnet or something.

So I received a couple of blogging awards, one the other day(thanks Chris) and one like a month ago (opps sorry it took me so long to post it Carl, thanks).

I'm not good with following rules, so I'm going to do what I want to do with these awards. I'm only going to pass them along to a handful of bloggers. These bloggers are all frequent visitors to my blog and are the main reason I keep blogging. I enjoy their comments as much as I enjoy their blogs, so I'm giving each of them both awards. A few people who do fall in to this category have already received these awards so the will be omitted from my list.

Carrie Mae @ Creepy Cupcakes - Halloween Things
Diane @ Wouldn't You Like To See Something Strange?
Joseph @ Mr. Macabre's Hallowe'en Cerebrations
PumpkinBrain @ PumpkinBrain
Steve @ Spooky Laboratory

Thank you all for your readership and comments, and thank you for all the great content you share with us via your blogs.

So You Wanna Winna?

It's Countdown Time

So this is my first year to participate in Countdown to Halloween. I figure I'll be able to keep up, since I basically have a Halloween blog all year long anyway. I think what I would like to do with my version of the countdown is try to present things to my readers that they can view, create, listen to, cook up, use in some way or fashion. It may be a poem or riddle, maybe a video, a desktop wallpaper, a Halloween recipe, or possibly a link to some hidden Halloween treasure. I don't even know what it will be until it happens, just like my blog always is, random and by the seat of my pants!

You'll want to make sure to head over to the Countdown to Halloween website to view the ever growing list of participants, as well as John Rozum.com.

Also you should stop by over at Mrs. B's The 31 Days of Halloween for even more blogs that are doing countdowns, plus contests and giveaways!

It's going to be a fun month, Happy Halloween everyone!

Now let's get it started . . .

Gourd Queen's Scream Award

Mr. Macabre over at Mr. Macabre’s Hallowe’en Cerebrations bestowed me with “GourdQueens Scream Award”. I would like to first thank Mr. Macabre, The Gourd Queen (who I had to search for, and I now follow her blog), My wife Jen, Bucky & Byrdie (my kids), my fingers and brain who without I wouldn’t be able to blog, the academy, and all the fans because without you none of this would be possible

"This award is to be shared with anyone whose blog you just love. Whether it's their art, their interests, the things they share, you just simply love to visit their blog!

This is what you do:
1~Accept the award then post it on your blog with the name and link of the person's blog who shared this award with you.
2~Explain the award.
3~Then share the award with at least 10 blogs that make you SCREAM! Please tell what makes their blog so special to you. Be sure to let them know they have received the award. Also you can share this award again if you run across more bloggers that make you SCREAM!"

My list would have been longer but Mr. Macabre and I have similar tastes and he already awarded some of my other picks. All of these blogs are blogs that I peruse often, if not daily. If you’re not already reading these blogs you should check them out. Blog awards are a love and hate thing for me. I love to receive them of course, but I hate having to pick whom to pass it on to. I like all the blogs I read, that’s why I read them in the first place! Thank you again Mr. Macabre.
