At this time of dark and night,
spirits often give a fright.
We call upon the ancient dead,
circling now around our head.
Bring the blessings from before,
while we stand with open door.
Ancient spirits hear us now,
peace and love do we avow.

The Little Big Book of Chills and Thrills
I was helping my Mom, Sister, and nephew move today and we were going through a bunch of boxes out in the storage closet. Nothing really of particular interests to me just a bunch of this and that and a ton of crap. As I sorted through so much of other people keepings, I moved some papers and what caught my eye but the words “Ye Ghost” on a ripped up book. I picked up the book whose cover had been long since ripped off to read the title. I was holding a coverless first edition of “Little Big Book of Chills and Thrills.” This book is so awesome! All vintage art and drawings, ghost stories, tales of magic and fantasy, poems, spells and curses, recipes, magic tricks, superstitions, legends, and lore, and all things Halloween. This book has that “found treasure” feel to it. If you love the Halloween of yesterday, the Halloween of your childhood, you will love this little gem of a book.

Horror Novels, Who Would Have Thought?
I followed a link to this book and found a whole world of other popular horror movie novels. Who would have thought there were so many different titles based on movies?
Man, so many books - so little time. I'd like to get my hands on that Trick r' Treat book.

Warner Brothers Sucks!
This movie has been in limbo for about two years now. Warner Brothers doesn’t know how to market it, so they just keep pushing it back. The fans are demanding it be released, but it looks like another Halloween is going to come and go without Trick r' Treat being released. It is how ever going to open the big "Scream Fest" film festival in Los Angeles tomorrow. That does not do much for me, or the tens of thousands of people who would also like to be able to see this movie. So for Halloween we are stuck with another lame Saw movie, instead of something interesting and fun.
Warner Brothers you suck!
Trick r' Treat
Don't you totally want to see this movie? Looks awesome!

Q. Why didn’t the skeleton go to the halloween party?
A. Becuse he had no body to go with.
Corny, I know but it made me chuckle.

The Myers House
Kenny Caperton is building a replica of the original Meyers house from the 1978 John Carpenter film Halloween as his personal residence in North Carolina. What an awesome idea, I should build myself a replica of 1428 Elm Street to live in. You can check out his progress on the house right here.
