Loot

Went to the book store on Halloween afternoon and got some new reading material I'm excited about. Now if I can just find the time to sit down and read them.

Went to Michael's Crafts this afternoon to use my 50% off one item coupon and to load up on the 2 for a dollar paints. I've got a little Día de los Muertos project planned for me and the Mrs. The only after Halloween decoration type item I scored today was that skull at Michael's for half off, I think it was $2.98.

No good deals on after Halloween stuff this year. All the stores I checked out were wiped out of the good stuff. Oh well.

Dark Candles

I made my first purchase from Dark Candles recently and I will be a repeat customer. They smell wonderful, I love the Clove, Dark Carnival, and my favorite right now (so far) is the Absinth. I had heard about them from Pumpkinrot's blog, but it was Mr. Macabre who turned me on to them via his wonderful prize pack. If you havent tried out Dark Candles yet, your definitely missing out. And oh yeah, that book is two years younger then me.

The Little Big Book of Chills and Thrills

I was helping my Mom, Sister, and nephew move today and we were going through a bunch of boxes out in the storage closet. Nothing really of particular interests to me just a bunch of this and that and a ton of crap. As I sorted through so much of other people keepings, I moved some papers and what caught my eye but the words “Ye Ghost” on a ripped up book. I picked up the book whose cover had been long since ripped off to read the title. I was holding a coverless first edition of “Little Big Book of Chills and Thrills.” This book is so awesome! All vintage art and drawings, ghost stories, tales of magic and fantasy, poems, spells and curses, recipes, magic tricks, superstitions, legends, and lore, and all things Halloween. This book has that “found treasure” feel to it. If you love the Halloween of yesterday, the Halloween of your childhood, you will love this little gem of a book.

Horror Novels, Who Would Have Thought?

I followed a link to this book and found a whole world of other popular horror movie novels. Who would have thought there were so many different titles based on movies?

Man, so many books - so little time. I'd like to get my hands on that Trick r' Treat book.
