Jackie Earle Haley

The new face of Freddy? It says so on IMDB, so it must be true!?!?
I really don't know how I feel about that? I'm excited to have another Nightmare film in the works, but will it work without Robert Englund? I guess we'll find out next year.

I'm with you on this, Robert Englund created Freddie with such a distinct personality of humor and cruelty that it's hard to imagine someone else copying it or changing his personality altogether.
I've been angry about them re-casting Freddy for awhile; and then I heard who they picked.
If anyone could take Freddy and make him even ickier than Robert Englund, I think this guy is the one.
Judgment reserved until I see the movie.
I agree about waiting to see it. I'm stoked to see a Nightmare film again, and I do hope he pulls it off, but they are just such big blood splattered shoes to fill.
Strangely enough, the Elm Street movies scare me more than any others. I giggle my head off while I'm watching, and then when I close my eyes at night ... I get scared to go to sleep. :)
